Looking for things to do outdoors in the summer months?

We have put together a few suggestions for free, local activities on offer, with some great ideas about how to entertain the kids and for you and your family to get outdoors and enjoy nature.

Connect with nature by doing a sensory trail.

Research shows that people who connect with nature are usually happier 😊. These trails are designed to help people connect with our natural environment, through engaging the five senses and enjoying a series of ‘sensory moments’.

Accessible for people of all ages and abilities, there are lots of trails available across Hampshire, one being right on our doorstep at Charlton Lakes! For more details and maps, visit Sensory walks in nature | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk).

Enjoy one of the many walking and cycling routes on offer in Test Valley.

Inspired by Wimbledon?

Check out Test Valley Parks tennis courts that have recently been revamped and are available to book, free of charge: Test Valley Parks Tennis / Home (lta.org.uk)

Take part in a spot of outdoor yoga or go forest bathing at Queen Elizabeth Country Park - What's on | Hampshire County Council (hants.gov.uk)

And, don’t forget the Four Fun Friday events taking place in Andover High Street in August!
