Mental Health First Aiders

Do you need to talk to someone about your worries, concerns or anxieties? Do you need some guidance on a mental health issue?


Mental Health issues are very common, 1 in 4 of us will experience them at sometime during our life. You are not alone. There is a lot that can be done to help you, simple things that

can make a huge difference. Sometimes just talking to someone about the problem can help.

Mental Health First Aiders (MHFAs) are there to do just that, to listen in confidence. They have been trained to help signpost you to where and how you can get advice and support.


The Council recognises the impact of mental ill health and has put in place MHFAs to provide additional support in the workplace, guiding those in need to the right support. For further information, please take a look at the leaflet below.
